A change in weather finally occurred today: RAIN! :) FINALLY. This new weather change was satisfyingly accompanied with a change in emotions, I guess it can be classified.
Entering an extreme, and probably unnecessary analytical phase, I’ve got to say I wholly and undoubtedly believe that everything happens for a reason, through the will of God. Water has its connotation of wonderful things. It sustains life and connotes a cleansing effect. Humans can live for days without food; but only in a limited amount of time, can man-kind survive without water. A religious aspect can be tied to water as well; the washing of Jesus’ feet and baptism. Not only that, in the beginning of time, the world was initially created with only water. I perceive the significance to this, being that water has its reflective characteristic. Since the water reflected what was above, it betokened ‘Heaven on Earth’. Adding to that, God utilized water to expunge the corrupt sinners, and to start anew, as seen in the flooding of the world. Water can typically be regarded as a ‘way’ to ‘start over fresh’, which takes me to my main point. The rain certainly imposed a positive effect on me, where it has given me the impression of ‘starting over fresh’, of a progressive change, of finally hitting rock bottom and climbing back upwards. It also somehow, miraculously, boosted my optimistic attitude towards life. Gotta appreciate those little things, I’m already too blessed with my living conditions and the people that God has lovingly provided for me to be so ‘down’; there’s little use to be upset over something for too long.
“For every minute we are angry or upset, we lose sixty seconds of happiness.”
I am a strong advocate for cool weather, so the mere presence of rain surely made my day. But to annex to my elation, nature left me intrigued with rainbows, thunder, and lightning.
